Dartathon Rules

SUITABLE VENUE

The venue is really not too important providing the rules of darts can be applied. Pubs and Clubs are usually the best venues.

6 THROWING PLAYERS PER VENUE

Players throw darts one after the other to score the highest score they can, a simple rotation system.
These scores are added up over the 24 hours to create a final total.
Players must remove their own darts from the dart board after they have thrown and step aside for the next thrower.
Each player is allowed 2 hours rest during the 24 hour dartathon, players can choose how and when to take their rest period.
During a players rest period remaing players continue as normal.
Rest periods do not include any toilet breaks that are taken.

VOLUNTEER SCORERS

Ideally each team should have 1 or 2 volunteer scorers available at all times throughout the Dartathon. If no volunteer scorers can be found to assist each team will have to decide the best method to keep track of their scores. Scores need to be written down as they are shouted out by players and should also be added to a calculator or adding up machine. Volunteer scorers can alternate with as many other volunteers as many times as they wish over the 24 hours.

All final scores must be submitted to the Dartathon Organiser as soon the team have double checked and clarified their scores.

Highest scoring Team and Venue will be crowned 2009 Dartathon Cornish Charity Champions and presented with an engraved Trophy.
